Ways to help support the BlackLivesMatter Movement and demand Justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and countless black lives lost at the hands of police brutality.

Yesterday’s social media movement, #BlackOutTuesday reflected the powerful influence of the black voice. Ironically, it was intended to be a day of silence. Silencing everything that doesn’t have to do with protecting, promoting and devoting our time to black lives. A day to deflect from the regular scheduled programmed selfies, ads and gossip and dive into using this prominent platform to engage ourselves in this pivotal time in history. It was and from now on will be a time to redirect the spotlight on black lives. The little black box stood for a much bigger black portrait. A portrait that paints the representation of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, the unity of the culture and the demand for justice. During #BlackOutTuesday, people continued to share vital information, shine light on black businesses and encourage everyone to vote. Protesters continued to march and exude their impeccable strength. Although #BlackOutTuesday is over, the reality of being black in America is not. Let’s continue to switch the narrative to US. Let’s let our voices be heard EVERYDAY.

Attending a protest can be overwhelming to say the least. It is often dangerous, and it takes a special kind of strength to be on the frontlines. Covid-19 is not over and it may be a lot for people with compromised immune systems to participate. Most states are on mandated curfew which may increase the danger and fear of protesting. If for any reason, you are unable to attend protests, here are some ways you can contribute to the movement:
