“Faith Under Fire” and “I Am Somebody’s Child” were products of a successful partnership between Lifetime and Bishop TD Jakes. Following this partnership Lifetime and T Jakes have decided to reconvene for two new films. Lust: A Deadly Sins Saga will be the first of two movies based on two books from the Seven Deadly Sins anthology by Victoria Christopher Murray. The film will premier Saturday April 17th at 8pm ET/PT.
The cast stars Keri Hilson (Love By The 10th Date), Tobias Truvillion (One Life to Live), and Durrell ‘Tank’ Babbs (The New Edition Story). The film is produced by TD Jakes Enterprises and Big Dreams Entertainment. Bishop T.D. Jakes and Derrick Williams serve as executive producers on both films. They were joined by Leslie Greif and TV host, Shaun Robinson. Robinson, under the Broader Focus initiative, will executive produce movies for the first time. In addition to Robinson, Star Victoria directs from a script written by Sonay Hoffman.
Lust: A Deadly Sins Saga is suspenseful and explores every aspect of the sin itself. But lust will come with a cost. Tiffanie Cooper (Keri Hilson) is preparing for the wedding of her dreams to her soul mate, the dashing Damon King (Tobias Truvillion), founder of King Enterprises. When Damon’s old friend Trey Taylor (Durrell ‘Tank’ Babbs) arrives, fresh from prison, Tiffanie’s whole world gets rocked. Sexy, mysterious, and stepping up as best man, Trey triggers a passion in Tiffanie that she never expected. A passion strong enough to create an uncertainty in the life she planned with Damon. But Trey still carries wounds from his history with Damon, and his intentions toward both Tiffanie and Damon are not to be trusted. There will be special appearances from Ms. Juicy, and Letoya Luckett. Both Lust and Envy will feature Clifton Powell.
