Milly Drops Braggadocious Drill Song “Undefeated”

Undefeated Cover

New York drill has taken over a large section of the rap scene in recent years. Artists like Pop Smoke, 22Gz, and Dusty Locane have popularized the previously underground sound. England-born rapper Milly released his new single “Undefeated,” a New York drill-inspired trap song. The Pop Smoke influence is apparent, he even mentioned the New York rapper in one of the lines.

The track has most of the standards of drill music with its warped synths and soaring, high-pitched vocals in the instrument but it has a rougher feel than most songs on the same genre giving it a somewhat grime-esque edge. Milly matches the lo-fi aesthetic with solid bars about feeling unbeatable, while simultaneously thinking he hasn’t reached his peak. Drill fans shouldn’t miss this release.
